Senior Education Counsel & Governance Leader (Sacramento)

Sacramento City Unified School District (SCUSD) seeks a General Counsel to oversee the Legal Services Department and to serve as the primary legal advisor to the Superintendent and Cabinet on governance matters.

The role requires interpreting and guiding departments on board policies, compliance with federal and state laws including the Education Code, Brown Act, and civil rights regulations. Attend investigations and represent the District in proceedings (PERB, EEOC/CRD, OCR, CTC).
